Industrial flooring covers (no pun intended) a wide variety of materials used in industrial and commercial facilities. These materials include an extensive assortment of synthetics, fabrics, metals, minerals and mixtures, which are available in numerous shapes and configurations. Flooring can be manufactured to industry standards, including OSHA, FDA, EPA and USDA requirements, and designed for a comprehensive range of basic and complex surfaces.

In addition to tiles, plates, planks, gratings, slabs and other overlays, industrial flooring includes various coatings, sealers and stains. Coatings can range from urethane and polyester to epoxies, paints and oils. Flooring safety options include anti-slip and anti-static coatings and surfaces; oil and corrosion resistant flooring materials are also available. Non-skid surfaces are particularly useful in high-traffic areas that need to retain an acceptable appearance.

Basic industrial flooring can consist of coated or uncoated concrete surfaces, but an extensive assortment of other options are available to facility owners. These options include designating and surfacing traffic aisles for various manufacturing, storage and production facilities; surfacing and lining chemical storage and processing areas; reinforcing or repairing existing floors; designing ramps, steps and similar features; as well as custom producing decorative flooring. Specific surfaces are also manufactured for waste storage facilities, loading docks, clean rooms, and food storage locations.

Flooring manufacturers offer a wide range of services, from recoating and crack repair to sealing and renovation. Conductive, impact resistant, and containment surfaces and walls are also supplied by manufacturers for facilities with specialized requirements. Honeycombs, gratings and similar structural shapes allow for minimal use of material over large areas; additionally, these surfaces provide ventilation and drainage, and enable the construction of catwalks and other suspended walkways.
