A nickel plated steel Insert absorbs the total fastener load allowing the foot to be mounted using machine screws or rivets without causing distortion to the foot itself. In addition, all of these grades are rated slow-burning, when tested according to U.L. 94 H.B. For applications requiring a thermoplastic rubber with resistance to the initiation and spread of fire, consider a flame-retardant grade of SANTOPRENE rubber.
