Insert Mold Bases and Insert Molding
In cases where mold bases are to be done in an adaptable fashion, there is the choice of insert mold bases that allow for swapping of interchangeable inserts to the mold. APT will build your custom molded insert base with the option of threaded insert and other plastic components.

Whenever possible our customers purchase only cavity inserts which fit a common base thus saving substantially on mold costs. We utilize standard MUD bases and custom bases where applicable.

For those who seek a cost effective solution as opposed to a dedicated mold while retaining versatility, APT can help. We also mold custom inserts, threaded inserts, and other plastic components.

Dedicated In House Mold Making
At APT, we are capable of bringing your final design mold concepts to reality utilizing CAM software (Master Cam, SurfCam). This electronic information is transferred directly to our CNC machining/turning/EDM equipment to duplicate the model in graphite, aluminum, or steel per your needs. Master moldmakers will craft your mold to the finished geometry utilizing state-of-the-art equipment (please see the equipment listing below).

We manufacture molds for our injection molding operation as well as other molding operations. All of our molds kept in-house are serviced and maintained by our skilled and degreed technicians. We pride ourselves in upholding just in time and kanban standards of quality for our customers.
