Vibratory Feeder Systems For automated assembly, part movement in a repeatable and rapid manner is key. At Fortville Feeders, we offer the choice of vibratory feed systems. A vibratory feed system is a self contained system that utilizes vibration to manipulate parts in a consistent, repeatable position. The output rate and orientation of each vibratory feed system is customized to your specifications by our experienced craftsmen.
With the ability to conduct heavy duty parts processing in high efficiency, our Vibratory Feeders are made out of stainless steel. Due to the inherent, noisy nature of automation, we suggest the addition of FFI sound enclosures to provide abatement in complying with OSHA sound level standards.
Additional features include multiple parts handling, high parts per minute flow rate and highly customizable designs to fit your needs from automotive to food grade parts.
We make our feeders inhouse at Fortville Feeders, so please contact us for your design specifications so we may accommodate your parts handling needs!
Tracking Feeder Systems A motor driven and/or custom vibratory inline track that moves oriented or singulated parts upstream from one system to the next operation. Sloped tracks connected to the feeder (centrifugal or vibratory) use gravity to provide the means of movement. Accumulator tracking systems enable your parts to be ′′staged′′ in a set orientation for the next process.
In-line Tracks
In-line feeders are vibratory horizontal feeding devices that transfer parts from a feeder bowl to your machine, part placement device or an operator. FFI offers two standard drive configurations. Lengths range from 6” to as long as you need. Your in-line feeder can be 110 or 220v to better fit into your application. And we can build your in-line feeder from almost any material - even plated with hard chrome to resist wear or rust.
Gravity Tracks
Gravity tracks are a low cost way of transporting parts from the feeder bowl to your machine. They can also twist parts to match your desired orientation. FFI custom-builds gravity tracks for any application. Need help figuring the correct angle? We can do that.
We can design straight, horizontal discharge, or vertical discharge gravity tracks, depending on your machines. And we can machine your gravity tracks from stainless steel, hardened tool steel, or mild steel, to meet your high wear and high production needs. We can also hard chrome plate or black oxide your tracks.
Conveyor Tracks
Belt Conveyors carry parts to or from the feeder bowl precisely and with a controlled orientation. We meet your automation needs with different belt speeds and types of belts. We can build with AC or DC motors, and utilize fixed or variable speed control. The length and width of our Conveyors is virtually unlimited.
FFI can handle thin parts that are hard to transfer from the belt to your machine, by using a knife edge conveyor to virtually eliminate the end roller profile. FFI offers center and end drive conveyors with almost limitless motor configurations.
