SD Series Suction Diffuser The TACO ′′SD′′ Series Suction Diffuser has numerous features built into one unit that provides the optimum flow and protection for the pump. The Suction Diffuser is available in cast iron or fabricated steel construction. The cast iron units consist of 15 models and are available in sizes from 2 inch x 1 1/2 inch through 10 inch x 8 inch. TACO also provides residential specialties. Heat transfer equipment, constant pressure booster systems, captive air tanks, flow measurement products and much more. The TACO ′′SD′′ Series is specifically designed to serve the needs of the commercial HVAC and industrial applications.

The Suction Diffuser eliminates the need for an equivalent length of ten pipe diameters of straight run required at the suction side of the pump by straightening the flow. The ′′SD′′ Series save on the number of fittings by incorporating a system strainer, flow straightening device and 90° elbow into a single unit. The adjustable foot aids in supporting the Suction Diffuser and the entrance piping.

Taco Vertical Split Coupled Inline Pumps set a new standard in service and maintenance. Taco′s line of vertical split coupled inline pumps are designed for optimum performance and ease of installation and maintenance. They are ideal for HVAC and industrial applications, including pressure boosting, cooling towers and domestic water service flows to 2500 GPM. For quick and easy repair, the split coupler design permits changing of the seal without disturbing the motor or piping. The axial load is hydraulically balanced to increase bearing life and deliver better pump efficiencies and lower NPSH requirements. The recirculation line flushes seal faces and extends seal life, resulting in less pump downtime due to seal leaks. Optimum pump efficiency is achieved by close running impeller to casing clearances.
