    Weigh-Veyors
Whirl-Air Weigh-Veyors are designed to accurately weigh single or multiple free-flowing ingredients into a combination scale mounted transporter. Then the transporter is used to pneumatically convey the weighed product(s) to one or more destinations. The Weigh-Veyor design allows direct connection to the silo or hopper.
    Whirl Slides

Whirl-Slides are high volume conveyors designed to move powders and free-flowing products along a nearly horizontal plane. The simply designed, rectangular enclosure eliminates airborne dust particles during transport of products. Materials are moved on a low pressure ′′cushion of air′′ admitted through a fluidizing membrane which has no moving parts, eliminating associated wear.

Most powdered products are easily conveyed in the enclosed, dust-free Whirl-Slide. Materials handled are in the 40 mesh and finer range. Whirl-Slides can be utilized to convey materials from silos or hoppers or other feed points to use points or load out operations like filling rail cars. They can be used to aerate silos to eliminate bridging.

Whirl-Slides are manufactured in many different shapes and sizes, ranging from 4.00′′ to 24.00′′ wide. Units are custom built to customer requirements. Special designs include curved sections, drop chutes and special collectors. Specific products require different downward slope angles to flow, from 2° to 15°. Standard design is 8°. Whirl Slides are manufactured in standard ten foot lengths, from carbon or stainless steel.

    * Actual capacity depends upon the material conveyed. Use average or consult factory.
** Air consumption will range from 10-30 SCFM @ 0.75 - 2.0 PSI depending upon product conveyed. The more granular & heavy, the higher the airflow and pressure.
    Model BF Transporters
  • Handle the broadest range of bulk material capacities.
  • Standard configurations include: air pad bottom for powders, basic for dry granulars, basic with air pads for specialty powders, basic with nozzles for sticky materials, and cone gate with nozzles for foundry molding sand

  • Because every Whirl-Air transporter is custom built to customer-specific application parameters, considerable flexibility in transporter size, configuration and capacity is available. For example, we manufacture transporters as small as 6′′ in diameter with 0.15 ft3 capacity to 12′ diameter with a 5,500 ft3 capacity. Transporters in all sizes can be built to specific physical size configurations. Where floor space is at a premium, taller transporters can achieve the same tons per hour (TPH) as shorter transporters with larger diameters. The information below demonstrates how the same capacity is achieved with different vessel diameters and height and represents typical volumes in various sizes.

    * The specifications show sample vessel sizes to achieve capacity. Each transporter is custom designed to match customer requirements for material handled and throughput.
