Manufacture of New Babbitt Bearings
Fusion Babbitting services many major OEM manufacturers in the area of rebabbitting as well as manufacturing new bearings. Our facility is well equipped to produce the highest quality bearings for your product. As well as providing drawing documentation to support components manufactured to OEM specifications.

Quality Control is our First Priority
Babbitt bearings of all types are centrifugally cast and machined to meet or exceed the original manufacturer′s specifications.
Bearing shells are carefully examined for mechanical flaws and purified. Our Certified Technicians use ultrasonic testing and dye penetrant inspection to guarantee babbitt-to-shell bonds.

Reverse Engineering and Design of Babbitt Bearings
Fusion′s Engineering Department along with their Customer Support and Service Departments provide a wide range of knowledge and capabilities for the identified but not limited to industries. Fusion Babbitting Co., Inc. takes great pride in assisting its clients with its Reverse Engineering capability, of critical components.

The primary image (bearing painted red) shows an example of a customer′s bearing that was made from a casting. No patterns were available, and Fusion designed and purchased a forging to manufacture the customers spare bearing.

Fusion′s Engineering Department evaluated the cast housing and provided a new design solution to the client; which replaced the existing cast iron housing with a forged steel billet housing. Providing the customer with a more robust bearing housing that has continued to stand up to the riggers of the application.

In other cases; bearing housing or other components may no longer be available from the original OEM supplier, requiring Fusion to take on the task of re-engineering and creating a new bearing housings, or components for the required application.
