Lab Tables/Science Tables The 600-S lab tables are made to withstand the rigors of the lab environment. The top is made of 1-1/4′′ thick core with a 1/16′′ self edge. The laminate that is used on the top is adhered to the edge for perfect match. A phenollic backer sheet is placed on to the table bottom to keep moisture out. The plastic used differentiates these tables. On the BT Series the plastic is regular grade black plastic. This is an ideal table for elementary and middle school labs, where no strong chemicals are used. The LBT Series lab table uses black plastic treated with ′′chemsurf′′ a chemical resistant coating. The coating makes this table good for all high school labs where chemicals are used in the experiments. Both of these wood tables have a 4′′ solid oak apron with 16 gauge steel corner blocks and 2 1/4′′ square legs. Tables wider than 30′′ receive an extra oak corner block in each corner for added strength. Special sizes are available upon request. Wood Finishes include Natural, Medium Oak, and Walnut. Special finishes available upon request. Table heights available from 25′′ to 30′′. Vinyl Boots and adjustable glides are available and must be specified when ordering.
The 700-S science tables are constructed in the same manner as the 600-S Lab Tables. The only difference is that these wood tables have compartments. The book compartment is made with a cutout in the styling and 1/2′′ glued up bottom. The compartment size is maintained by the use of 4′′ poplar uprights inside the apron. For strength the poplar under stock is screwed into the table bottom and then the poplar bottom is braded to the under stock. Table can come with either two or four compartments, depending on table size.
