Valves: Balancing related categories

The new Taco ′′Plus One′′ Multi-Purpose Valve has been designed to give you at least one more feature in every area of the valve′s construction. First, while not only being a check, plug and balance valve, it can also be used for metering the flow. Two Shrader valve metering connections are included as standard with each valve. Internally, the valve includes a bronze gland and stainless steel stem sleeve to assure a lifetime seal and ease of operation after it has been in the line for a period of time. This is unlike other cast iron pump discharge valves which tend to freeze up and render themselves useless for any future adjustments. The Multi-Purpose Valve combines a shut-off valve, balancing valve, check valve, and metering valve within one body and offers savings in space, hardware cost and labor.

Features
  • Horizontal or Vertical Installation
  • Dual O-ring Seal
  • Bronze Fitted Construction
  • Bubble Tight Shut-Off
  • Plug Type Flow Control
  • Memory Stops
  • Pointer and Scale
  • Back Seated Stem
  • Easily Removed Spherical Brass Clapper
  • No Lubrication Required
  • Shrader Valve Metering Connections
  • Non Slam Check Valve
  • Elastomer Seat.

Plus Two Multi-Purpose Valve
Design:-
The new Taco Plus Two Multi-Purpose Valve combines all the valve functions that are normally required on the discharge side of a centrifugal pump in a hydronic heating or cooling system into one body. It is a Shut- Off Valve, a Non-Slam Check Valve, a Balancing Valve, and a Flow Metering Valve, and now it is field convertible from a straight pattern to a 90° right angle pattern. In addition the new Plus Two Multi-Purpose Valves have low pressure drops, equal to or better than any valve on the market today, and the stem seal packing can be replaced under full system pressure.

With sizes ranging from 1 1/2 through 12 the new Plus Two Multi- Purpose valves are made of Ductile Iron with stainless steel and bronze fitted construction to provide years of trouble free service. Each valve is available in 150# psi working pressure with flanged or grooved end connections or 250# psi working pressure with flanged or grooved end connections (1 1/2, 2 and 2 1/2 units are threaded connections).

Materials of Construction:-

Body : Ductile Iron Seat Disc : Bronze Spring : Stainless Steel (302) Gland : Bronze Stem Packing: Asbestos free Teflon impregnated Aramid Fiber Seat : EPDM Body O Ring : EPDM Stem : Bronze/Stainless Steel (416).
