Recreation RF Sealed Products
It was a handmade, portable, flexible drinking device. It came about because of a personal need for water during his tour of duty in Vietnam. Years later after the war, the outdoor craze hit America. Our customer′s military experience stirred an idea. An evolving recreational market allowed him to consider the possibilities for a hands-free hydration system. Activities like jogging, mountain-biking, skiing, and rock climbing needed such a product. But there were functional and quality problems with the original design. Sealtech made modifications and then prototypes.

The remaining problem needed a material solution. There was a vinyl taste that permeated the water and if ice was stored in the bag, the vinyl would crack under the stress of the slightest impact. Sealtech engineers recommended replacing the vinyl with urethane. Urethane is compounded with different chemicals than vinyl and therefore, it removed the taste factor that permeated the water. The urethane also provided more elasticity... the material gave a lot more... it was more durable. The first order was for five thousand units. A year later, Sealtech was filling orders for one hundred thousand units a month and their product was number one in the market place.
