No matter how large or complex the project, we′ll provide you with fast, accurate service every time.
Our highly skilled machinists have access to more than 80 Bridgeports, featuring computerized digital readouts. Using this state-of-the-art technology, we can machine parts to your unique specifications.
We also use over 15 precision metalworking lathes, including Hardinge precision machines. This equipment allows us to produce your innovative prototypes and production quality machined parts.
Our machinists provide a full range of grinding services to meet all your
close tolerance requirements. These skilled machinists work closely with our general machinists to deliver exacting tolerance on precision parts. We offer surface grinding of parts up to 38′′ long and I.D./O.D. grinding up to 18′′ in diameter.
Wire EDM At Astro Manufacturing & Design, we′re committed to providing our customers the leading edge technology needed to provide the most advanced machining available. With this in mind, Astro has invested heavily in Electrical Discharge Machinery (EDM) technology. We use a complete family of EDM machinery that will accommodate a wide variety of needs - all with CNC capabilities.
Wire EDM is ideal for producing complex designs on hardened materials. Our advanced Wire EDM capabilities include a range of high-speed production machines. They offer cutting areas of up to 18 1/4′′ x 12 1/4′′ x 15 3/4′′ in height. For your special needs, our Wire EDM machines can accommodate up to 30-degree taper cuts.
New, state-of-the-art, four axis programming integrates your CAD files for increased cost savings, and quicker turn-around on production parts. Our experienced machinists can also suggest design modifications to help ensure you receive the most cost effective machining available.
