Injection Molded Plastics: Custom related categories
Automotive Products Automotive products compose approximately 45% of our business. MMPC is both a Tier I supplier and Tier II supplier to major automotive components producers.
Some Vehicle components that we are involved in:
Instrument clusters with in-molded chrome rings (see picture below)
Acrylic lens
Interior bezels
Interior armrests
Keyless entry systems
Radio controls
Electronic Sensor modules
Panel splash guards
MMPC manufactures both ′′under-the-hood′′ products, from engineering plastics (polycarbonates, GF nylons, PET, PPO, etc.) to “class-A” decorative parts, such as acrylic instrument lens and bezels. Secondary operations, such as sonic & vibration welding, hot stamping and pad printing, are used extensively. In addition, we utilize our expertise for in-molded decorative appliqués and metal inserts. MMPC has the unique capability and technology to in-mold chrome plated bezels in instrument clusters to eliminate BSR issues.
Many of our automotive customers rely on our inhouse Objet 3D prototyping capabilities and design/ development services.
Industrial / Consumer Products This segment of Master Molded Products is the most diverse in applications. Markets include:
Lawn and Garden
Small Appliances
Major Appliances
Telecommunication Equipments
Industrial Tools
Office Accessories
This market segment makes up 25% of MMPC’s business and involves both conventional “shoot-and-ship” products as well as multi-material moldings for tactile applications. In some cases, customers rely on Master Molded Products to supply a “complete, turnkey package”, by molding the components and doing all necessary assembly and packaging, to develop a finished product sent directly to the end-customer.
In-Mold Technology Master Molded Products is excited to announce the combination of a durable membrane switch with an integrally-injection-molded thermoplastic case. The In-Molded Switch™ is new technology that Master Molded
Products Corporation has developed and patented, where a membrane switch, including the graphic layer, is
molded directly into an injection-molded panel, case, or frame. This panel/case concept is specifically designed for
each customer application and will often replace other components of the assembly.
Master Molded Products Corporation has been awarded Patent #5,574,623 for this Molded Switch technology.
