Smith Flow Control’s latest iteration of its dust plug has an entirely mechanical interlocking system for locking and unlocking valves. The interlocks with color-coded lock-unlock tags with alphanumeric access codes specific to each production site.
Dutch manufacturer BBA Pumps has added to its product line two portable systems for field operations: a bolt-on pump package plus a new piston pump. Applications for the former include mining, dredging, and oil and gas.
While much of the business is still driven by North America, key overseas markets, notably India and China, anticipate growing demand for pumps and valves especially in current and anticipated infrastructure, energy, and industrial projects.
