AMETEK HCC Interconnect Technologies has firmed up its distribution of hermetically sealed connectors and electrical interconnection devices in China by signing Cyphen Ltd.
According to HCC Interconnect Technologies, located in Cincinnati, Cyphen has extensive experience in the Chinese oil and gas industry, among other industries. Cyphen is headquartered in Beijing but has operations in other parts of China as well as in the U.S.
“Our selection of Cyphen reflects the importance of our growing customer base in China,” said Liam Shanahan, vice president and business unit manager of HCC Interconnect Technologies. “We expect Cyphen to play a key role in the development of our business.”
HCC Interconnect Technologies consists of two businesses: Hermetic Seal Corp., which produces hermetically sealed connectors for industries including oil and gas and petrochemical, and Sealtron, which makes aerospace-grade hermetically sealed circular connectors.
