Endress+Hauser Announces July Introductory and Advanced Courses on Level and Flow

Instrumentation supplier EEndress + Hauser logo ndress+Hauser has released its series of regional hands-on training courses to be held in July. The classes feature a combination of classroom and hands-on training on either a full-scale, working process skid with online instrumentation and controls (dubbed Process Training Unit, or PTU, by E+H) or live instruments in training stands to simulate operating conditions.

Open Space & Guided Wave Radar Level School

The Endress+Hauser L-104 Radar Level School is an introductory course (8 hours) on Open Space and Guided Wave Radar Level for maintenance and engineering personnel. The course dedicates a half-day to each technology to give a basic understanding of these level technologies. The class will be a combination of classroom and hands-on training on either the PTU or live instruments in training stands designed to simulate operating conditions. The course covers:

  • Guided Radar
  • High & Low Frequency Radar
  • E+H FieldCare Software Tooling

8 PDH (Professional Development Hours) available upon completion of the entire course.

The Endress+Hauser L-101 introductory course for level provides maintenance and engineering personnel with a basic understanding of level technologies that apply to virtually any manufacturer’s equipment. Following this introduction, it proceeds with in-depth training on Time of Flight (ToF) technologies that include a variety of radar types as well as ultrasonic level transmitters. The class will be a combination of classroom and hands-on training on either the PTU or live instruments in training stands designed to simulate operating conditions. The 16-hour course covers:

The Endress+Hauser L-102 advanced course is for students having completed the basic level school. The Advanced Level School begins with a brief review of current level technologies. Following the technology refresher, the course looks deeper at each level measuring technology including proper techniques of configuration, calibration and troubleshooting. There will be an emphasis on an in depth understanding of Time of Flight, ToF technologies and envelope curves. This class will primarily be focused on hands-on training utilizing either the PTU or live instruments in training stands designed to so simulate operating conditions. The 16-hour course covers:

  • Radar Programming and Trouble Shooting
  • Capacitance Programming and Calculations
  • Ultrasonic Programming and Trouble Shooting
  • Pressure and Differential Pressure Linearization

Class will start by providing instrument techs and engineers with a brief section on the basic understanding of numerous flow technologies. It also provides in-depth training on density and concentration measurements.
