Graco Makes Global Leadership Changes

Graco Inc. has announced that effective Jan. 1, it is expanding its management team to “capture new process business opportunities” and increase international sales in the emerging economies of South America and Central America.

Mark Eberlein, business development director for the Industrial Products Division (IPD), will become the new vice president and general manager of the division. Bernard Moreau, sales and marketing director for IPD and the company’s Applied Fluid Technologies Division (AFTD) in Europe, will relocate to South America to become the company’s first vice president and general manager for South America and Central America.

“Expanding our capabilities on behalf of process business customers and increasing sales in emerging markets are key growth drivers for Graco,” said Pat McHale, president and CEO, in a released statement.

The Minneapolis-based company also announced that Simon J.W. Paulis, vice president and general manager for the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region, will be retiring at the end of 2012 after 14 years of leadership at Graco. Jeffrey P. Johnson, vice president and general manager for the Asia Pacific region, will replace Paulis in the EMEA region.

Johnson will relocate from Shanghai to Graco’s European headquarters in Belgium. Peter O’Shea, the current director of sales and marketing for Graco’s IPD business in Asia Pacific, will become vice president and general manager for the region.

In addition, the company announced that David M. Lowe was promoted to IPD executive vice president earlier this year when the acquisition of the Gema Powder Finishing business was completed.
