The Hydraulic Institute and pump engineering and rebuilding company Hydro Inc. have teamed up to develop technical webinars and e-learning courses as part of HI’s Pump Systems Optimization courses. The two organizations have agreed to a Training Partner Agreement, and the first collaboration occurred on Oct. 23 with a one-day course in Fort Saskatchewan, Alta., Canada.
The education material, which are aimed at pump end-users, distributors, and engineering consulting firms, will be co-branded and focus on a broad variety of pump topics. George Harris, Hydro’s president, said the partnership will deliver engineering-driven education programs focused on improving pump performance and extending product life cycles. HI notes that 800 industry people have attended the Pump Systems Optimization series, primarily engineers but also maintenance, operations, and sales professionals.
Hydro is the first HI Training Partner in North America. Headquartered in Chicago, the company is an independent pump rebuilder with service centers around the world. It provides engineering services, replacement pump parts, pump testing, training, field services, and around-the-clock emergency response.
