Nordson Kreyenborg’s new filter-cartridge system relies on a rigid and wear-resistant steel mesh to provide heightend media filtration.
The system, which will premiere at K 2013 in Dusseldorf in October, features a steel filter fabric that resists deformation or warping due to pressure changes or deformation via a complex structure. Nordson Kreyenborg has rheologically reinforced the design to extend part life in heavy-duty operations.
The steel cartridge system provides a more robust filtration design than standard filter discs that pleat fabric over their filtration opening. This structure can cause faster wear and deformation, leading to inadequate coverage and melt filtration, creating surplus downtime.
