A Manufacturing Day in the Life

Manufacturing Day was a big success, with over 200 companies nationwide participating by hosting factory tours and educational sessions for students and community members. Machining Journal was on the scene for Manufacturing Day in New York City, as fellow writer Beth Goodbaum traveled to the Steinway & Sons piano factory in Queens and yours truly headed to the Bronx for a tour of elevator components maker G.A.L. Manufacturing Corp.

Many people were active on social media for Manufacturing Day, sharing their stories and pictures. Let’s take a look at what others were up to last Friday!

Over 750 middle-schoolers attended the Hartford State Armory in Hartford, Conn., where Senator Richard Blumenthal addressed the crowd.

Other states that shared their stories include Ohio…

…and New Jersey, just to name a few.

The final question, though: How was your Manufacturing Day?
