Climax, which specializes in providing portable machining and welding systems to customers worldwide, will also focus on providing training services at the new Amherst facility. The Amherst location, Climax’s third training center, will offer local machinists and welders classes and training equipment, and make available experienced educators. The company plans to host various courses for students of all skill levels, with a focus on training needed to beat the machinist skills gap in the U.S.
Climax is offering a special promotion for Amherst customers. Training customers will receive a 2-for-1 deal, as well as a $300 voucher for welding materials, and entry into a contest to win $2,000 off a machine purchase.
Climax will be hosting two open houses later this month. On Wednesday, May 15, from 10 am to 3 pm, customers and community members can take a tour of the Amherst facility, watch demonstrations of the machining and welding tools, and meet the staff. The following day, customers can attend an exclusive session, including a tour and a presentation of Climax’s systems.
