RCBI has partnered with FANUC Robotics America Inc. to offer an industrial robotics training program at its Charleston, W. Va., location. FANUC will provide industrial robots and training personnel to RCBI to help facilitate the training program, which encompasses programming and advanced robotics technology training such as safety sensors and robot vision systems.
“Our latest education curriculum provides academia, students, and workers real-world skills that will immediately transfer to high-paying careers that are in demand today,” Paul Aiello, FANUC regional manager of the Robotics Certified Education Robot Training (CERT) program, said. “As the global leader in robotic automation, we’ve incorporated 30 years of expertise to design an industry training program that underscores our commitment to a true partnership with education and manufacturing.”
FANUC will also be expanding its CERT certification program to 250 other educational institutions across the country.
RCBI also expanded its machine tool capabilities with the addition of a new DMG/Mori Seiki NTX 2000 5-axis CNC mill/turn center at its Huntington Advanced Manufacturing Technology Center and an Okuma MU-500-VA-L Machining Center at the Charleston counterpart.
RCBI Director and CEO Charlotte Weber told Huntington News that the technology acquisitions “represent the latest examples of RCBI’s continuing effort to provide ready access to the latest manufacturing technology.”
As we noted in December, RCBI is a “statewide organization dedicated to providing local manufacturers with workforce development advice and equipment use.”
