GSM Industrial has acquired Shugt Manufacturing’s assets to expand its precision-machining solutions capabilities.
Shugt Manufacturing of Dover, Pa., focuses on precision CNC milling and turning, manual machining, and Blanchard grinding operations for contract manufacturing applications. Its facility of CNC turning centers, CNC vertical machining centers, manual mills, lathes, and grinders will help GSM Industrial meet customer demand for its industrial fabrication operations.
The agreement also includes moving five Shugt employees, including owner and president, David Shugt, and a combination of machinists, programmers, and supervisors, to GSM’s West Hempfield Township, Pa., facility.
“The acquisition brings immediate benefits to our current customers, as well as to Schugt’s existing customer base. As GSM Industrial expands our current machining capabilities by improving the caliber of our equipment and increasing the experience of our staff, Schugt’s customers get greater fabrication services from a reputable company with a strong financial backing,” Brian Dombach, GSM Industrial president, said.
“With the strength and financial backing of GSM, not only do we solidify our ability to provide our customers with the same quality machining services they’ve come to expect from us, but our existing Schugt business partners will receive the added benefit of being able to tap GSM’s vast experience in fabrication and installation,” David Shugt announced.
