Lifting Up Wounded Warriors at FABTECH

If you’re at FABTECH in Las Vegas, think about heading to booth N1833, where local volunteers are hosting the Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) booth. With Veterans Day observed just two days ago, FABTECH has invited the WWP to hold a raffle on the convention floor for a good cause. For $10 dollars, you can help a U.S. military veteran who was wounded in Iraq or Afghanistan receive monetary aid for mental and physical rehabilitation. The raffle prize is a small statue, welded with a special process, that features an antique oxygen gauge.

National defense has a lengthy history with the manufacturing sector, as many pieces of technology and methodologies being used in private and commercial production processes come straight from the defense world. For more coverage of the broader relationship between defense and manufacturing, see today’s issue of Machining Journal’s sister publication, Industry Market Trends.
