Essentially, it is a method of hosting mobile information rather than hosting the information on a physical machine.

Machining Cloud’s app hosts the type of information and analytical tools manufacturers need on a daily basis, such as widgets to analyze processing times or monitor machine performance. Additionally, the Machining Cloud Intelligent Manufacturing app allows users to order supplies and connect with customers through various communication and purchasing tools. The company says that cloud accessibility allows manufacturers to find solutions before they even know there are problems.
“In some cases, what happens is that manufacturers become accustomed to performing tasks in a certain fashion and aren’t aware that there may be better methods for completing the job that could cut 20 or 30 percent from their machining time.” said Michael Taesch, Machining Cloud project manager.
