Martin Releases Rigid Trunnion Tables for Increased Tool Access

Martin Machining has released a new series of trunnion tables to speed up part change and set-up times for horizontal machining centers (HMC) and vertical machining centers (VMC).

The Stallion series of trunnion tables from Martin Machining are designed to use fourth-axis capabilities on VMC and HMC to smooth part machining operations. The trunnions screw on easily and rapidly with built in thumb screws, and can rotate to allow tool access to up to three sides of any loaded part. The Stallion tables fit a variety of machines, with optional customization shaping provided by Martin. The faceplates are available in a variety of sizes, though the 9-in-by-23-in Stallion 9/23 is available in an optional 9/23/DS double-sided design that increases tool access up to six sides.

The faceplates are manufactured from cast iron for rigidity and durability, which Martin says will help increase longevity of the tool. They fit a standard 6-in vise, with optional clamping outboard braking system for heavy-duty operations.

In the video below, you can see a demonstration of quick set-up, change, and customizable functionality in the Stallion trunnion table.
