The third annual conference will see industry professionals gather to discuss the state of MTConnect, the open, royalty-free machine connectivity standard that networks machine tools via the Internet. MTConnect is promoted for its compatibility with a wide range of machine tool technology.
“As the third annual conference, [MC]2 2014 will build upon the tremendous success of the first two conferences with even greater emphasis on ‘connecting’ end users, equipment suppliers, software developers, distributors, ISVs, integrators, students, professors and consultants to all things MTConnect,” Dave Edstrom, MTConnect’s outgoing president and chairman of the board, said in a news release.
Courtney Hill, incoming president and board chairman, echoed that sentiment. “The [MC]2 Conference for 2014 will be supported by a world class roster of thought leaders and industry insiders committed to advancing data-driven manufacturing. Building on the MTConnect foundation, this conference will focus on the real world benefits and practical implementation of digital manufacturing technology.”
The winners of the MTConnect Challenge 2 will be announced at the event.
