Contract manufacturer Roanwell Corp. announced it has purchased the operations of Bees Manufacturing, a contract manufacturer of alloys and plastic precision machined components for deep sea marine, medical and industrial markets.
Bees’s operations will be merged under Roanwell’s Absolute Manufacturing Division, and the Bees name will be discontinued. Bees’s operations will add to Absolute Manufacturing’s precision machining and assembly operations, focusing on multi-axis CNC machining and turning of stainless steel, aluminum, nickel alloys, titanium and other engineered materials.
Currently, Bees focuses on supplying precision machined parts for food processing/cryogenics, laser/optics, marine/oceanography, medical, oil/gas exploration and pipeline, packaging, semiconductor and water treatment markets.
“The acquisition of Bees Manufacturing is part of Roanwell’s strategy of growing its customer base of engineered close-tolerance precision machined parts in its already established medical and industrial markets, as well as expanding in the deep sea marine market,” Roanwell President Jonathan LaBarre said in the press release.
