Tyler Machine Tool Company will become a direct sales organization for machine tool manufacturer DMG/Mori Seiki, the company announced yesterday.
The announcement builds on a relationship between Tyler Machine Tool and DMG/Mori Seiki forged over 35 years, during which Tyler acted as a distributor for DMG/Mori Seiki in New England from New Hampshire and Connecticut locations. The reorganization, which will not affect Tyler’s name or workforce, will result in a closer working relationship between Tyler representatives and DMG/Mori Seiki’s design and manufacturing team. Tyler will continue to perform sales, engineering, and support for DMG/Mori Seiki machine tools throughout Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Vermont.
“Nothing will change regarding day-to-day operations,” founder Herb Tyler said in a statement. “But this will definitely be a big win for the customers because of the additional resources and closer working relationship we will have with both the builders and the factories.”
