The overall height becomes less as the gate is extended approximately 1½ in. to each foot of width. Bostwick type can collapse & swing against the wall or disappear into shallow or deep cabinet boxes. Folding gates over 8 ft.-0 in. with fixed overhead tracks & ability to fold into concealed wall pockets. Folding gates are made of steel, then painted, may also be bronze, aluminum or stainless steel. Custom finishes also available.
