Stocking distributor of water filters including filter media for benzene toluene ethylbenzene & xylenes (BTEX) & polychlorinated biphenyl (PCB) removal applications. Filter media includes anthracite, silica sand, garnet & filter gravel. Anthracite specifications include sizes ranging from 0.60mm to 1.6mm, 1.3 to 1.7 uniform coefficient, 1.3 specific gravity, 50 lb. density /cu. ft. & less than 2 percent moisture. Silica sand media specifications include 0.20mm to 2.5mm size range, 1.3 to 1.7 uniform coefficient, 2.67 specific gravity & 105 to 115 lb. /cu. ft. specific gravity. Garnet filter media range in size from 0.20mm to 2.0mm & have a uniform coefficient of less than 1.6, specific gravity of less than 4 & 120 to 140 lb. / cu. ft. density. Filter gravel media range in size from 1/8 in. to 2 1/2 in. & have uniform coefficient from 1.2 to 1.7, 2.70 specific gravity & 100 lb./ cu. ft. density. Filter media meets or exceeds NSF/ANSI Standard 61 for Drinking Water System Components & AWWA Standard B100-01.
