Electronic Instrument Research - Irwin, PA
Manufacturer
Manufacturer of laser extensometers for precision, non-contact strain measurement on various materials. Materials include biological & biomaterial specimens, under tensile or compressive conditions. Self-contained & housed in single compact enclosure, extensometers can be operated from the back panel or remote via RS232 interface. Measurement capabilities range from 0.3-3.2 in. to 0.3-15.0 in. Non-linearity is +/- 0.0002 in. to +/- 0.0004 in. Capable of 0.0001 in. resolution. Features include a 2 line, 16 character line LCD display with LED backlighting, 4 button keypad, analog output ranging from 0.1 in. to 20. in. full scale, & a scan rate of 100 scans per second. A moving window average is applied to a selectable number of scans to digitally filter the output reading. Target materials include glass beaded, retro reflective tape for service up to 200 degrees F & aluminum backed strip for service up to 900 degrees F. Target distance is 10 in. nominal to 20 in. maximum. Scanning laser beam measures dimension changes from one side of subject in vertical & other planes. Able to interface with most testing machines.
