CMW Inc. can trace its origin to the company founded by P.R. Mallory in 1916 to develop and produce metallurgical products. In 1929 the Mallory Metallurgical Co. moved to Indianapolis to manufacture products utilizing the elements copper, silver, and tungsten. In 1978, P.R. Mallory sold select assets to internal managers who reincorporated, and Contacts, Metals, and Welding Inc. (dba CMW Inc.) was formed and continues to manufacture its products in Indianapolis, IN.
CMW currently manufactures and supplies bulk metals, as well as custom and standard products More... made from metals based on copper, molybdenum, precious metals, silver, tungsten. These find application in four major product categories: Arc tolerant Electrical Contacts; Weighting, Balancing, Inertial, Shielding and Other Applications Requiring Maximum Material Density from a Machinable Product; Thermal Conductors with low CTE; Current Carrying components for Resistance Welding and EDM Applications.
