Trans-Matic supplies precision deep drawn components and assemblies for the automotive, builders’ hardware, appliance, plumbing, power tool, HVAC, and other markets. Trans-Matic was founded in 1968 in Holland, Michigan by Pat Thompson. Our headquarters is in Holland in a 13,935m² (150,000ft²) production facility. In 1992, Trans-Matic established a satellite location to serve the Southwest and Mexico. This 4,645m² (50,000ft²) state of the art facility is located in Mesa, Arizona. In 2006, Trans-Matic started producing deep draw parts for our Asian customers out of our wholly owned foreign entity in Suzhou, China. This is a 7,400m² (80,000ft²) sq ft facility. Trans-Matic employs approximately 300 people globally. In early 2011 Trans-Matic formed a joint venture LLC with Heitkamp & Thumann of Marsberg, Germany to develop and produce metal battery container systems. Trans-Matic manufactures product on high speed transfer presses from 5 to 600 tons. These presses have the capability to manufacture parts up to 3.8mm (.150") thick and 200mm (8”) tall. Primary materials used include low carbon, stainless, brass, copper, bronze, and aluminum. We are TS16949 and ISO14001 certified in all three plants.
