Trans-Matic was founded in 1968 in Holland, Michigan by Pat Thompson. Our headquarters is in Holland in a 13,935m² (150,000ft²) production facility. In 1992, Trans-Matic established a satellite location to serve the Southwest and Mexico. This 4,645m² (50,000ft²) state of the art facility is located in Mesa, Arizona. In 2006, Trans-Matic started producing deep draw parts for our Asian customers out of our wholly owned foreign entity in Suzhou, China. This is a 7,400m² (80,000ft²) sq ft facility. Trans-Matic employs approximately 300 people globally. In early 2011 Trans-Matic formed a joint venture LLC with Heitkamp & Thumann of Marsberg, Germany to develop and produce metal battery container systems. Trans-Matic manufactures product on high speed transfer presses from 5 to 600 tons. These presses have the capability to manufacture parts up to 3.8mm (.150") thick and 200mm (8”) tall.
