TURBOCAM specializes in turbomachinery applications, with a core competency in 5-axis milling. This is a company that is a supplier of choice to major aerospace and industrial turbomachinery projects, and also develops and sells specialized software for 5-axis machining.

The "CAM" in TURBOCAM stands for "Computer Aided Manufacturing". CAMplete Solutions Inc. is TURBOCAM's software arm. TURBOCAM is the only manufacturer to produce CAM software. CAMplete is the only software company with fifty-seven CNC machines.

TURBOCAM has partnered with BostoMatic (USA), Moore More... Tool (USA), Hermle (Germany), Mikron (Switzerland) and Parpas OMV (Italy) to use and develop 5-axis milling technology. Machine simulators have been developed by CAMplete for all of these machines.

Fast computers, networked milling machines, advanced software and programming expertise have produced an amazing ability to manipulate, use and store data. Parts are machined accurately and to the degree of precision required. Manual polishing of parts after machining, which affects the dynamic balance of impellers and blisks, is greatly minimized. (Just two people at TURBOCAM in USA handle all of the deburring/bench finish of parts manufactured on over 30 milling machines.)

Behind all of these machines and computers is a committed and skilled staff of over 125 people in six countries. Though TURBOCAM is held privately, its employees act as if they own the company. Many have been at the company for over ten years, some for fifteen. TURBOCAM technology cannot be gleaned from ex-employees – there aren't that many around, and the good ones have a habit of returning to the best place where they ever worked. Less
