   New PEM® C.A.P.S.(TM) access hardware incorporates a captive screw and plastic colored cap in a spring-loaded assembly to promote secure attachment and enable subsequent access. Their captive-screw design reduces parts count, minimizes handling issues, and prevents screws from falling out or damaging internal components. (Corona, CA), which specializes in precision aerospace fastener products. Terms of the transaction between the two privately held companies were undisclosed.

   New Atlas® SpinTite® stainless steel half-hex shank threaded inserts offer superior corrosion resistance and provide ideal fastening hardware solutions for "blind" attachment applications where only one side of a panel is accessible for assembly. 6. November 7, 2008 — PEM® SpotFast® Fasteners with Paired Wave Washer Allow Consistent Pivoting of Two Metal Panels
   New PEM® SpotFast® fasteners paired with a specially designed wave washer allow reliable attachment of two thin metal parts in applications additionally requiring repeatable pivoting or hinging action. These self-clinching fasteners (Type SFW) permanently join the two metal components to create a flush-attachment connection without protrusions on either side. The compatible wave washer delivers consistent torsion to promote repeatable hinging action while attachment remains secure.
7. October 3, 2008 — PEM® China Zinc Plating Line Approved by General Motors
   DANBORO, PA, USA, September 8, 2008 - The PEM® China zinc plating line has received approval from General Motors for use in plating parts. As an approved plating applicator for GM, PEM China and related information will be listed in the GM MATSPC system and PEM China will be able to plate parts for GM, its tier suppliers, and other major automotive OEMs. PEM China is a PennEngineering® manufacturing facility located in Kunshan, China.
8. August 25, 2008 — Jay McKenna Named Global Product Manager-New Products at Pennengineering®
   DANBORO, PA, August 18, 2008 - Jay McKenna has been promoted to the newly created position of Global Product Manager-New Products at PennEngineering®. In his new position, McKenna will direct the development and worldwide launch of new PEM® fastener products.

   New PEM® floating access hardware introduces a captive screw assembly for permanent installation into panels of any hardness with the capability to compensate for up to .060"/1.52mm mating thread misalignment. The licensed MAThread® anti cross-threading screw technology adds value by correcting off-angle installations and reliably aligning components.
10. May 21, 2008 — Pemhex Self-Clinching Fasteners
    PEMHEX® self-clinching fasteners incorporate a unique hexagonal nylon element providing a reusable, non-metallic prevailing torque thread lock. These self-locking fasteners can be installed permanently in steel or aluminum sheets as thin as .060"/1.52mm and their locking performance meets the applicable standards of NASM25027.
