About Griffin Dewatering Corporation from www.griffinpump.com
One key to Griffin's long term success has been the high level of team work between Griffin's engineers and Griffin's field personnel. Griffin is strongly field oriented, very sensitive to the special needs of the general contractor particularly with regard to the timeliness of bids as well as job rescheduling. Our technical, sales, and field personnel are dedicated to one principle philosophy - to serve our customer by providing the most effective techniques to control groundwater on time and on budget.
Contractors frequently inquire about our specialty pumps they may see on job sites. These pumps are for sale or rent and literature is available on request. Our affiliate company, Griffin Pump & Equipment, Inc., manufactures the highly respected Griffin line of portable hydraulically driven submersible pumps, used for moving large volumes of water typically in borrow pits, coffer dams, flood control, etc. Griffin's Axial-Flow Propeller Pumps for high volumes and low lifts are built for portable hydraulic drive packages as well as for permanent installations.
Griffin has strategically placed at its offices throughout the United States a variety of drill rigs to accomplish any job the customer needs. Our mobilization capabilities allow us to move rigs and highly-trained crews to the job site quickly. Griffin Dewatering can provide Bucket Drilling, Auger drilling or Wet Rotary drilling. These rigs are either 2 wheel drive or rough terrain vehicles, depending on the site needs and conditions. Griffin also has an extensive inventory of trailer mounted rigs and drilling support equipment.
"Turn-Key Contract" puts Griffin in charge of the layout, installation and operation of construction dewatering systems. Griffin will undertake engineering studies including on-site pump tests and furnish design recommendations. This total concept includes a guarantee to provide the needed results.
"Rental or Sale" in which Griffin furnishes the necessary equipment to the Contractor from Griffin's extensive inventory. Griffin will furnish a field supervisor to advise the Contractor regarding proper installation and operation of the Griffin supplied equipment.

Hydraulic Submersible Pumps
When determining a pump for an application, there are a number of factors to consider. Among them are flow requirements, head conditions, suction requirements, and dimensional limitations. Hydraulic submersible pumps are an option and give the added benefit of run dry capability, especially when electric powered pumps are of concern due to potential electrical hazards or other reasons, or diesel driven centrifugal pumps are not an option due to suction lift restraints. Hydraulic submersible...

Description For Bucket Drilling Method
The bucket rig is a form of the rotary drill rig. It uses mechanical or hydraulic drive to rotate a Kelly which is attached to the bucket. This type of rig will normally utilize a square friction type or round locking type Kelly with three or four telescoping sections which can extend to 100ft or more. Bucket rigs may be equipped to drill holes from 10 to 60 inches in diameter. Bucket drilling uses a cylindrical bucket with cutting blades or teeth mounted on a hinged bottom to repeatedly cut...
