  1. July 10, 2008 — TENDO Has Slimmed Down with TENDO LSS
    SCHUNK is now introducing a super-slim version of the TENDO family of hydraulic expansion toolholders. The TENDO LSS has been optimized to keep interfering contours to a minimum, can be used to access difficult parts of a workpiece, and can be used in working areas where appliances create difficult conditions.
  2. July 7, 2008 — The EGN 80 and 160 from SCHUNK
    SCHUNK has expanded its EGN series of servo electric 2-finger parallel grippers to include sizes 80 and 160 to the existing size 100. The new sizes have a stroke per finger of 8 and 16 millimeters, respectively. This upward and downward expansion of the series now makes it possible to use the exact size of gripper for each task with the right specifications.

    SCHUNK Inc. introduces the new series of 180° swivel heads SRH. The swivel heads of the new SRH are completely modular in structure and consist of the tried and tested SRU rotary modules combined with two swivel corners, EDF electric feed-throughs, and MDF media feed-throughs. This means precise rotation and long tool life using proven components. Using standard components also means short delivery times and high availability of the components due to minimal spare parts inventory.

    The TRISet optical tool presetting and measuring device from SCHUNK allows you to measure, check, and adjust tools before using them. TRISet is suitable for all conventional tool-clamping systems. As a special bonus, a TRIBOS clamping device is integrated, which allows tools to be clamped in seconds. With TRISet, tools can be clamped, measured and adjusted outside the machine while the CNC machine carries on producing without any downtime.
