Elmet has been a manufacturer of molybdenum and tungsten products in Lewiston, Maine, USA since 1929. With it's Maine work ethic and quality products, Elmet has grown in plant size and production volume, as well as in product and service diversity. Originating with fifty employees and 13,400 square feet, Elmet now employs over 350 people with 220,000 square feet of manufacturing space. At its inception, Elmet produced only wire products, but today our product line has expanded to include wire, rod, sheet and pressed and sintered parts. In addition, we also manufacture world-class custom precision machined and fabricated parts to exacting customer drawings and specifications.
