Bird-X Inc. was established in Chicago in 1964. Over the past forty years, Bird-X has continued to develop unique and effective bird control products and now offers a full arsenal of bird repelling devices and other pest and critter repellers.
Bird-X's policy is to provide non-lethal, non-harmful, environmentally safe and ecologically sound products. We regularly receive referrals from the Audubon Society and the Animal Damage Control division of the USDA.
Products are in four basic categories: Physical barriers (needle strips, sticky gels, netting), sound repellers, taste aversions, and visual deterrents. New product development and improvement is ongoing.
We supply more than three dozen different products. Each is effective against pest birds or critters, but more importantly, each has its own benefits, so you can choose products or combinations of products that will best suit your needs.
While all products are effective, we have learned from our customers that products used in combination (i.e. a sound device plus a visual device plus a physical roost inhibitor) yield significantly greater effectiveness than any one product functioning by itself. This is especially true in situations where the birds are very stubborn, where they have been in a given place for a long period of time, or where the area is very desirable due to food, warmth or shelter. A combination means the products are able to work synergistically to create an aurally, visually and physically undesirable environment.

The scientist behind GooseBuster has further improved the technology by including 'gunshot' and 'coyote' options. GooseBuster's gunshots and coyote sounds are true-to-life -- far more realistic, from a goose's point of view,...

Bird Proof Transparent Repellent Keeps Pest Birds from their Normal Roosting Areas
Chicago, IL Bird-Proof (www.bird-x.com) bird repellent compound discourages birds from alighting and nesting for a year or more, even under most extreme weather conditions. March 30, 2005 — Multi-Functional Bird Repeller is More Versatile & Effective BroadBand PRO targets pest birds with an unrelenting combination of four different sound types: 1) distress cries to indicate danger to pigeons, starlings, gulls and more, 2) predator cries, like falcons and hawks, to add realism, 3) general harassments for an all-bird defense, and 4) ultrasonic waves to guard day and night. Its development is based on forty years of success with sonic repellers that featured one of the four types, but this is the first machine to combine them all. This...

August 29, 2002 — Rid Your Premises of Unwelcome Canada Geese by Broadcasting Their Own Distress Calls Chicago, IL. GooseBuster is the first and only unit to use actual alert and alarm calls of Canada geese recorded in the wild. Geese recognize them and respond instinctively. 'Alert' signifies nervousness or concern about potential danger; 'Alarm' signifies immediate danger requiring instant evacuation, without bothering to identify the source. Calls differ in frequency, duration and intervals. Sound combinations, sequences and speaker selection change randomly, causing geese to perceive...
