VisionWorks Best with Bayer's Prepolymers and Aspartates for Improved UV Stability in 2K Polyurea SealantsPublisher: Bayer MaterialScience, LLC
|
Overview: This paper describes the property enhancements achieved by using Bayer's prepolymer and aspartate technology in formulating 2K polyurea sealants, and details the advantages of the polyurea sealants in terms of fast reactivity, insensitivity to atmospheric and substrate moisture, low temperature curing, and tunable physical properties. Properties offered by Desmophen® NH-1520, NH-1420, and NH-1220 aspartates are listed along with an illustration of the polyaspartate structure, while properties of optimized polyurea formulations including DESMODUR® E 210, JEFFAMINE® D-2000, DESMOPHEN NH 1420, TINUVIN® 292, TINUVIN 1130, IRGANOX® 1135, and KRONOS®, TiO2 are presented in a tabular form.
