Valve Drivers

Publisher: HED, Inc.
Overview:
This paper describes the functioning and features of HED Valve Drivers, which are power amplifiers that take a low power analog control signal, and produce a high power pulse width modulated (PWM) signal. An Illustration of PWM waveforms, highlighting the higher efficiency of PWM ouputs in providing power when compared to an analog driver are included in addition to an illustration of Input voltage windows for HED Valve drivers, and a brief description of 4 settings (frequency, threshold, max, and ramp) on the valve drivers. Functions and applications of unidirectional and bi-directional valve drivers are elaborated, and various options offered by HED's valve drivers which help customer in selecting right valve driver are also explained in this paper.
