Overview: This paper describes how CMTC helped Notthoff Engineering, Inc., a 50-employee manufacturer of aircraft parts and equipment, to accomplish lean manufacturing objectives in order to improve customer satisfaction by improving on-time delivery and quality. The process improvement needs of Notthoff Engineering are stated, detailing the methodologies and concepts utilized during the implementation of the lean manufacturing program. The paper outlines the results of the project and highlights the additional capacity as well as cost savings that could be realized by Notthoff Engineering with sustained improvements spread throughout the facility.
