Company Description by Magnaworks Technology, Inc.

Magnet Solutions featuring the fastest delivery in the industry.

The source for ceramic, Alnico, Neodymium (NdFeB), Samarium Cobalt (SmCo) and flexible magnets. Custom to specs - prototype to production. Serving the bio-magnetics, motion control, aerospace, computer, telecom, and medical industries. In addition for the automotive industry: rare earth magnets and ferrites with nylon binders pulse wheel sensors -- reed switches.

Rare Earth Magnets:

Injection molded - bonded – sintered Neodymium and Samarium Cobalt magnets

Applications: motors, sensors, medical equipment, computer peripherals, aerospace equipment, transducers, instruments etc.

Rare earth magnets can be manufactured in any size ranging from 1 millimeter diameter to 3 inches in diameter and in any common or custom shapes. Direction of magnetization is normally through the thickness unless otherwise specified and standard tolerances are +/-0.005 inches on all dimensions.

Neodymium Magnets:

Sintered neodymium (NdFeB) magnets More... are available in energy products ranging from 27 to 40 MGOe. These neodymium magnets are ideal for low temperature applications (below 100 degrees C), at higher temperatures and humidity they become unstable and oxidize. Corrosion protection in the form of nickel or zinc coatings are recommended. They are light and more cost effective than the samarium cobalt magnets.

Samarium cobalt magnets:

Samarium cobalt magnets come in energy products ranging from 16 to 28 MGOe. These are very stable at high temperatures (up to 300 degrees C). They are more expensive than the neodymium magnets due to a larger content of cobalt in their composition.

Flexible magnets: strips – sheets.

Magnetic strips come in various widths ranging from 1/2 inch to 2 inches and thicknesses ranging from 0.030 inches to 0.25 inches. They can be supplied in lengths of 50 feet or 100 feet coils.

Magnetic sheeting comes in 24 inches wide with thicknesses ranging from 0.015 inches to 0.060 inches. These are generally magnetized in a multiple configuration to attain more holding force on metal surfaces.

Ceramic magnets: isotropic – anisotropic.

Ceramic magnets are primarily manufactured by sintering process of barium or strontium ferrite. Some of the common available grades are Ceramic 1, 5 and 8. They come in the form of discs, small rectangles, blocks, arc segments and in custom shapes. They can be provided in a painted finish or with a polarity marking. Ceramic 1 is not oriented in the sintering process while ceramic 5 and 8 are highly oriented and must be magnetized in the direction of orientation.

Alnico magnets: cast – sintered.

Alnico magnets perform extremely well for applications that are exposed to temperatures above 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Alnico magnets come in grades 2, 5 and 8, both sintered and cast.

Applications: meters and instruments, sensors, reed switches, relays, hall effect devices, tramsdicers, computer drives Less
